There is so much parenting advice for the modern parent that it can overwhelming. I have really come to appreciate being able to interview the experts and learn the reasoning behind their thinking. And it's made me realize what works for some kids just won't work for others.
I promise you have nothing to fear from my family when we travel. Before we even arrive at our departure airport, my child and I go into guerrilla traveling mode, and we don't stop until after we leave our destination airport.
My daughter occasionally goes on a hugging and kissing strike. And I won't make her hug anyone, not even Grandma.
Can you go home again? At least on vacation? What is home, anyway? Is it a childhood home, over which we have little control? Or something parents give their children, regardless of where they live?
